Use dvd Format To Get Your Name Out

Im Working On a Dvd, called SourceKings Dvd I wanted to know what you guys think of this way of advertising something like a smack dvd.
it showcases artist like a interview then they get a video.
Im trying to mold it into there head, I will also have the songs on the radio.
facebook, myspace, twitter, and big email campain im also going to do flyer I think all these work. im a wholesaler of urban clothing so I make flyers and pass them out like nothing and Im getting the dvd in all the stores ive ran into in the last 3 years.
I think the new way to promote is to goto the business itself and say can i put this here I may do a mass duplication to get the price down i have 4 duplicators and access two 10 more its crazy.
let me know what you think of this idea! I know its not the first but what do you think.
