This is my most recent recording. I was really just messing around but like what it turned into. Let me know what you think...

Welcome to SC... Wink

Nice picking on the piece. Have a few nit pics. A little repetitious for my taste. The little breaks that you had were welcome relief. Another is the percussive sound. Again a little to much. But again, that could be part of the repetition part. Other than that, it sounds really good.

Sounds very much like a special tuning on this one?

Hey and Welcome,

I am going to agree that the song is a bit repetitious that being said what was there was great.

I think you either need to drop the percussion track down or out, my vote is probably for out or maybe just not the whole way through.

I really did like the sound of the guitar and melody though:) keep up the good work.

Andy

I love the picking style... how do you do those flourishes?
I will agree on the repetition, and i'm not a big fan of the percussive slapping thing, though i spose if it was a more boxy echoey sound it would be nice... if you get what i mean Confused
I love the bit at 2:12, really, really nice.

Nice picking there Mike Very Happy

I have to also agree with the repetition/percussion. Perhaps a clean base line to help break up the repeatingness(if that's a word lol)
For just messing around this is pretty good. I wish I could mess around like this.
Keep at it

Thanks, kap.

I think a see a pattern with the repetition/percussion statement... Laughing ...It definitely is unanimous, thinking I should leave that out of any future recordings... Laughing

I liked this a lot....Im in way over my head here but I wonder if adding a bass theme that had some changes would help add some interest to the repetitive guitar theme.......btw...those runs outside the theme were really great

I think that would be a great idea!

The hook is great it just needs more in between. Repeating the change at the end as a chorus would be good.

Nice song Mike

I wouldn't go that far. If the song asks for it, you gotsta do it. I've heard a lot of guitarists who just love the percussive stuff. Some of them very innovative in their approach.
