I have been trying to connect with brothers n sisters n Christ but have been getting the cold shoulder. Did not God say unity but I guess that do not matter to us. We should be helping each other to get God music out in to the world. Some christian rappers think that they r better than some of the other christians rappers because they get more exposure but what trip me out you ask that brother how can you get your music out they don't want to tell you because they think you are going to overshadow them or something. If any brother ask me a question on how to do something in the music industry I will tell them if I had the answer and try my best to help them if they r repping Jesus Christ but some brothers has the answer but do not want to tell you because some r still carnal minded. To my brothers n sister n Christ keep striving for Jesus and look toward Jesus for direction and not to the people on this forum. Unity so that we can pray together or exchange prayer request. Discuss the word with each other and encourage each other. Iron sharpen Iron

Sad to say this but I agree for the most part I've talked to a few Christian producers that are pretty open and cool but when it comes to the artist it's a little harder to connect with them.

And it isn't just rappers. Some of us do it by singing, but the same pitfalls are there - the petty rivalries and jealousies that are things of Man and not of God.

We have to work together, and swallow that pride. Humility is a virtue, as we learn that none of the Glory is ours. We are channels at most, and unworthy proclaimers if we do anything less than our best, even while being our most humble.

Quote:
To the weak I became weak, to win over the weak. I have become all things to all, to save at least some. All this I do for the sake of the gospel, so that I too may have a share in it.

I've Noticed it's actually easier to connect with people outside the Christian world from experience. It should be the opposite.

I agree with the previous post. However, to add a different prospective to the conversation.....

As we all know there are a lot of Christian artists/rappers that are only Christian in name. They act and speak no different than the world. Having said that, we can't always open our doors up to everyone that says they are a Christian rapper and want to collab or need help. You maybe helping the devil do his work!

The internet makes it even more difficult. Imagine doing a collab with a so called Christian rapper only to find out there is cursing all through out their CD and even in the song you did the collab on. It may as well be you doing the cursing.

It will always be easier to connect with people outside the Christian World because most don't hold themselves to the same standards as you. If they like you, they are down. They don't care who you serve or how you live your life. However, Do you want free studio time just to fight weed smoke all night??? Would you be willing to forfeit the FREE studio time?? What if you are put in a compromising situation?

Finally...we should NOT rely on other people to help us in our ministry. We should rely on GOD. HE will send the RIGHT people at the RIGHT time to help us. We just have to be patient and wait for HIS timing and not ours.

Remember brother we are still in the flesh, no one is perfect or flawless from sin, that won't happen until we are in heaven, then we can worship God for eternity.

i am here to connect with brothers and sisters of christ. God said we should treat each person as we would like to be treated and in his eyes, he did not creat anyone better than the other. Everyone is EQUAL but UNIQUE, NOT BETTER!! Its sad to see that as a christian artist also..Im down to connect and spread the Lord's great gospel..JUST TELL ME WHEN!! GOD BLESS!!

This is exactly what Lecrae talks about in his songs.. It's the hypocrisy that Jesus preached about.
